Not sure about school?
This podcast is for you
Love the podcast?
Making a podcast costs actual money (annoying, we know), and we don’t do ads for mattresses (yet). But if you’ve ever laughed, nodded along, or shouted “YES!” at an episode, consider tossing a coin to your podcasters!
If that's not an option right now please share and review it ♡
We've transformed the
'Elective Home Education Departmental Guidance for Parents (England)'
government document into an audio file, so now you can listen while cooking dinner or doing the dishes, allowing you to make the most of your limited free time without having to sit down and read it!
About
Honey, Should We Homeschool? is a podcast for parents who are questioning the system, exploring alternatives, or just wondering if there’s another way. We talk about home education with a mix of curiosity, scepticism, humour, and heart—because it’s a big decision, and we’re not here to pretend it’s simple. We’re not experts with a master plan. We’re just a couple trying to figure it out in real-time, navigating home education with two small children and a lot of questions. We're doing this because we know how overwhelming this decision can feel, and we want to help people who are in the thick of it too. Each episode digs into a different aspect of home education. We record interviews with people of interest and do the research on the big topics—from legalities and finances to socialisation and self-doubt—so you don’t have to do it all alone.Whether you’re already home educating, on the fence, or just quietly mulling it over, we hope our podcast helps you.
MEET YOUR HOSTS

Leah is the researcher, planner, and the driving force behind the podcast. A state schooled, home educating mum with a love of cosy fantasy books, woodlands and creating slightly chaotic treasure hunts, she brings the curiosity, first draft edits, and bravely faces the social media void.

Tom is the co-host, audio perfectionist, and chief tangent taker. Privately educated with a love of fast cars, technology, and the beach, he brings the comic relief, tech savviness, and the occasional wild analogy.
